Ever wonder who is serving the documents you send to ABC Legal? In this blog series, we'll be shining a spotlight onto some of our star process servers and the amazing work they do.
Raised in Canada, Linda Bucciachio, is now a process server in Reno, Nevada. She is inspired by her love for her children. Her love has always inspired her to be better and work harder. Linda has been a process server for the last 15 years. She is an independent contractor as well as working with ABC Legal, who she started with this year.
Outside of process serving, Linda enjoys teaching kickboxing and coaching high school track & field. In her free time, her hobbies include running, golfing, hiking with her dogs, and traveling with her kids. She is passionate about a healthy lifestyle, environmental issues, and most importantly, equal rights for all.
Linda recently took time out of her busy schedule to tell us more about her life and time as a process server.
Due to family circumstances, I didn’t get to finish high school or go to college. My biggest achievement is my self-education - I’ve never let my lack of formal education stop me from doing anything.
I work upwards of 22 zip codes - in cities such as Reno, Carson City, Incline Village, Lake Tahoe, Sparks, Virginia City, Mound House, Dayton, Fernley, Fallon, & Lockwood.
In Nevada, you must be 21+ and be able to pass a background check.
I answered an ad. I didn’t even know what a process server really was at the time.
I already came to ABC trained. They do seem to have a great online support team.
I like the freedom to work as much as a want. I enjoy being mobile and moving around all day - I’m not a desk person. I like being out interacting with people.
Hostile individuals and people who try to avoid service.
I am always very aware of my surroundings. I don’t pass through gated properties. My children and I use a location sharing app, so someone always knows where I am.
Some indicators are gated properties. I will then need to rely on neighbors or phone numbers provided to reach individuals.
I like the online support and the accurate accounting. I never worry about being paid for my work.
I don’t have a favorite story, but I’ve met some really nice people. I have received hugs, been offered cold drinks, and even invited in for lunch. People appreciate me being empathic when serving papers. I’m always being told I’m the nicest process server they have met.
I was a certified fitness instructor and bilingual tutor for Spanish.
Linda excels at successfully completing each job with fantastic speed, effectively meeting all (customer, court, & ABC’s) requirements, and submitting completed proofs of service. Overall, Linda is a superstar process server and ABC Legal values all the work she puts into every serve.
